OUR STORY
Wine isn't that complicated... although you'd have good reason to think otherwise.
A visit to your local market or wine shop with a decent sized selection can be overwhelming to the uninitiated. Asking a bartender or server in a restaurant for a wine recommendation can also be frustrating or even intimidating. They'll tell you about this wine's "residual sugar", that wine's "structure", or the taste of the "terroir" in this other wine... all of which helps you not at all.
Wine doesn't have to be complicated. There shouldn't be a barrier-to-entry or learning curve before you can appreciate it. At least that's our philosophy. The Wine Project is an effort to make the whole wine experience accessible and enjoyable to everyone.
Whether you're a real connoisseur or a novice who can't tell a Pinot Noir from a Pinot Grigio, we're creating a place for you. We offer fantastic wines and beers, paired with a robust menu with sophisticated comfort food, and supported by servers and bartenders who are all about helping you discover something you love. All in an environment that's laid-back, cozy, and comfortable.

To ensure that we're always able to support our casual walk-in traffic, we're offering limited availability reservations. This means that we're keeping part of our dining room non-bookable using the reservation system. Our goal is to make sure that our customers who want to plan ahead have an option without shutting out our casual customers who just want to pop in for a drink.
Note, you may use Yelp Reservations as well as OpenTable to make reservations for up to 6 people. For larger parties, please call us directly at 650-453-3388. Also note that for parties larger than 6 people we require a $20-per-person minimum order.
