Winemaker Wednesday: Zoetic Wines

Please join us on Wednesday March 8 for our next Winemaker Wednesday event with Zoetic Wines from right here in San Carlos!

Zoetic focuses primarily on Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, and we've set up an interesting tasting this time around that will provide the opportunity to do side-by-side comparisons of these varietals.

First, we'll be looking at the 2014 vintages of Zoetic's "Complesso" and "Grazioso" Sauvignon Blancs. The grapes for each wine are from the same clone and vineyard in Russian River Valley, and each includes a small bit of Viognier in the blend, but the real comparison here is to see how different oak regimens impact the final product. Then on the Pinot Noir side, we will compare the 2013 and 2014 iterations of Zoetic's Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Again, both wines are from the same grape clone and vineyard, but we'll get to explore how a year's difference changes the various characteristics and taste profile.

The event will start at 5pm and run through 8pm. Kim Vance, the winemaker, will be joining us to pour for everyone and talk about her experience as a winemaker. In addition to the tasting flight, each wine will be available by the glass and bottle, and we'll also have special one-night-only discounts on bottles-to-go!

We hope you can join us!
